// 845.371.2222 WASHING MACHINE WOES: Regarding the LG top loader that does not fill enough with water: I discussed this issue with a repairman, and he explained that the water fills up based on the weight sensor. Therefore, he said a simple solution to having it fill with more water is by putting a pail of water into each load when the clothing is put inside the machine. I began doing this, and the water fills up nicely since then. Also, the same machine has the issue of draining the water after a half hour if you don’t turn the load on, which is an issue if you want to soak clothes inside the machine. For this issue, he suggested unplugging the machine while soaking, so the sensor doesn’t automatically drain the water. After the load fills with water and I want to soak overnight or for a few hours, I simply unplug the machine and plug it back in when I want to continue the load. TOPIC #107 - SLEEP SITUATIONS I’m wondering if anyone had any suggestions how to get a kid to sleep less than what they need right now. I have a 14-year-old who needs 10 hours of sleep a night to function properly, and that’s a little bit impossible with a yeshiva schedule. He ends up coming home pale and extremely exhausted. Baruch Hashem, his lab work, including iron, looks fine. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, anything else we may be able to try to get him to function with less sleep. TOPIC #44 - ECZEMA AND SKIN INFECTIONS Another thing about eczema for babies, a good idea would be to put Balmex - the diaper rash cream - on the eczema. Put on a very thin layer and rub it in. It dries out the eczema very nicely. Some people also put moisturizer on top of it afterwards when it dries out. For my baby personally, the moisturizer was itching her. But if they see that the skin is too dry, they can try putting it after the Balmex. TOPIC #44 - ECZEMA AND SKIN INFECTIONS I would like to say thank you to the person who wrote about the Ashlem Cream. I’ve been suffering with my child for almost three full years and now we are finally seeing the end of the tunnel. It’s worth a try. The first bottle gets used up quickly to get the child cleared up. But then, it’s not so expensive because you use much, much less. TOPIC #173 – CONSTIPATION 3 cups of water with lemon in the morning helps. Also, giving water to babies that drink formula is essential so they do not become constipated. TOPIC #173 - CONSTIPATION I want to make everyone aware to be careful with enemas because it can cause long-term digestive issues. TOPIC #48 - HAND NAIL FUNGUS I also had hand nail fungus for a couple of years. I tried going off sugar and wheat and going to kinesiologist, but nothing helped. Then, I took medication for it. I went to Dr. Strenger, even though at first I was a little skeptical about it. Baruch Hashem, the medication helped and it I had no side effects. LAUNDRY TIPS I’ve tried many types of detergents and Shaklee’s Nature Bright to try to get rid of the black collar and cuff marks on my white shirts. None of them really helped. If anyone has any suggestion that really helps, I would really appreciate it. TOPIC #134 - CABINET REFRESH I’m wondering if there’s any way to clean out the smell in an under the sink cabinet. The smell started from something not fresh that was in there, but even after cleaning it out multiple times, including with baking soda, the smell lingers. TWO EASY WAYS TO ADD YOUR VOICE: 1.
