But very soon; before long, The trees will sing a di erent song. Their leaves will shrivel, And fall to the ground, With nary a single green leaf to be found. But our Creator does not forsake His trees! For once again, the weather shall shift, And our barren tree, Will receive a “face lift”, They will be draped in a breathtaking, Cloak of white, Shimmering and glistening in the night, What a visual delight! “השדה עץ האדם כי” “Man is likened to a tree in field” As we traverse our life’s journey, Our attire too, changes periodically. We start out decked in our youthful vibrancy, Giving way to middle age phase, When we can still mend our ways. Then comes “empty nest syndrome”, When our o spring leave home, But Hakodosh Baruch Hu does not forsake us. In our old age, We now enter a wonderful stage. Cloaked in “white”, A venerable sight. “אבותם בנים עטרת” Every age, Each stage, Is special in its unique way, It behooves us to utilize each day.
