JULY 16, ‘25 // TOPIC #168 – BROTHERLY LOVE 1. Talk to the baby, but really talking words to the toddler, telling the baby that he’s a baby, and the toddler is so big, etc. So the baby thinks you’re talking to him and is smiling and enjoying the eye contact and sound, and the toddler enjoys the attention. 2. Keep on telling the toddler during the day, that ‘you can have now this snack or this ice or whatever, the baby doesn’t have because he’s a baby, he’s too young’, or ‘you can play with it because you’re big’. Keep on telling him he’s big and the baby doesn’t have it because he’s small. When the baby gets something special, the toddler is fine with it, because he already gets so many more things. Buttons Hello Csay Readers! I hope everyone is enjoying their sun-and-rain filled week and keeping really cool! We’ve discussed the hydration, the smells, the mold, and the camp packing. Now, let’s discuss an issue that is not exclusive to Summer, but one that – despite my fervent hopes – is not resolved in warm weather (or pouring rain). The buttons, those important circles of fabric and metal holding our mens’ suits and bekitshes together, keep popping off. Maybe even more so with all the fun noshing and snacking of summertime. Is there really a way to sew them on and know that they aren’t falling off by next Shabbos? Do button locks really work? I know they sometimes pop off, and wonder if it’s related to how tightly they were tied on. If you have any great ideas on this topic, please chime in! Have a wonderful week! TOPIC #168 – BROTHERLY LOVE If you keep the toddler very busy and you give them enough attention, they’re usually not going to be busy hurting the baby. LONG DISTANCE PHONE NUMBER I don’t have the number you’re looking for, but I made very cheap long distance international service by US Mobile by just adding a few dollars to my monthly payment. 132
